This is a rare old variety Satsuki Azalea called Wakaebisu. These show up around the azalea capitol of the world, which is Pensacola, Florida to Mobile, Alabama. These are a very low shrub, small leaf azalea. Very durable and hardy. These put our a salmon colored double flower about up to 2" in diameter. These are super back budders. You can prune and wire them any shape you like and they will bud new leaves everywhere. One other important feature is they bloom twice a year. Late spring and early fall. Sometimes even 3 times a year, depending the fertilizer attention they are getting. These are always scarce even around Pensacola. I have just a few in the gallon and in the 3 gallon. Snap them up while you can. This is one of the 1 gallon size.
