This is a pair of 8 inch Chinese root cutters. These are the latest version and they look nice compared to the ones we used to get. These have a superior construction to the old ones and for all practical purposes look like what root cutters should look like. They are 8 inches long and the steel looks to be of a higher astm grade. The cut width is 1/2 inch and the when closed the inside width is 3/4 inch from rivet to jaws and the jaws inside width is 1 inch opening. These will compete with Japanese root cutters, easily on price alone, even though most Japanese 8 inch root cutters jaws are 5/8 inch wide. No makers markings showing on cutters.
